This policy explains what personal information we collect when you use the Focus Cubed website, how we use it, and the choices you have.
1. Who is responsible
Focus Cubed Inc., based in Tokyo, Japan, is responsible for the personal information described here. You can reach us at warren.arbuckle@focus-cubed.com.
2. What we collect
Information you give us. When you request an assessment through the Get Started form, we collect your first and last name, work email, company, role, location, team size, the options you tick (such as cultures or situations) and anything you write in the message box. If you email or call us, we keep what you send us.
Information collected automatically. When you visit, our analytics tools record which pages you view, the page that referred you, your approximate location, and your device, browser and operating system. Your IP address is processed by our providers to deliver the site and produce these statistics.
Client dashboard. If you are a client with a dashboard login, we set a sign-in cookie so that you stay signed in.
3. How we use it
- to reply to your enquiry and prepare your assessment or proposal;
- to deliver and administer our services to clients;
- to understand how the site is used and improve it;
- to keep the site secure and prevent abuse;
- to meet legal obligations.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for automated decisions about you. We will contact you about our services only if you have asked us to or if we have a legitimate business reason to follow up on your enquiry; you can ask us to stop at any time.
4. Cookies and analytics
- Google Analytics uses cookies to measure how visitors use the site. To opt out, use your browser settings or Google's Analytics opt-out browser add-on.
- Vercel Web Analytics measures page visits without using cookies.
- The client dashboard uses a necessary sign-in cookie. It is not used for tracking.
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. The public pages continue to work without them.
5. Who we share it with
We share personal information only with service providers who help us run the website and our business, and only as needed for that purpose:
- Formspree, which receives and forwards the Get Started form;
- Google, which provides Google Analytics;
- Vercel, which hosts the website and provides Web Analytics;
- our email and communication tools, used to correspond with you.
We may also disclose information when required by law or to protect our rights. If our business is ever sold or reorganized, personal information may transfer to the new owner under this policy.
6. Transfers outside Japan
Some of our providers process data in other countries, including the United States. We take reasonable steps to make sure your information receives an appropriate level of protection, as required by the Act on the Protection of Personal Information (APPI) and other applicable laws.
7. How long we keep it
We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes above, including any period required by law. Enquiries that do not lead to a working relationship are deleted when we no longer need them. You can ask us to delete your information sooner.
8. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect personal information, including encrypted connections (HTTPS) and limiting access to those who need it. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
9. Your rights
Under the APPI you may ask us to disclose, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you, or to stop using it. If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or another region with similar laws, you may also have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict or object to our use of your information, to data portability, to withdraw consent, and to complain to your local data-protection authority.

10. Children
The site is meant for working professionals and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it was last changed.
12. Language
This policy is written in English and translated into Japanese for convenience. If the two versions differ, the English version prevails.
