We want everyone to be able to use the Focus Cubed website, including people who use assistive technology. This statement describes what we aim for and what to do if you hit a barrier.
1. Our commitment
We aim for the site to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA. This is a goal we work toward, and we do not claim full conformance.
2. What we do
- use semantic page structure (headings, landmarks, lists) so that screen readers can navigate;
- mark the language of each page (English or Japanese);
- make the site usable with a keyboard and on screens of different sizes;
- check colour contrast and text size, and add text alternatives for meaningful images;
- review the site with automated tools such as Lighthouse, and fix the issues they find.
3. Known limitations
- Some older articles migrated from our previous website may still have images without good text alternatives or formatting that is harder to navigate.
- Some downloadable PDFs (such as case studies) may not be fully accessible to screen readers.
- Embedded third-party content, such as videos, may not meet the same standard.
Our review so far has been our own; the site has not been independently audited. We are working through these items.
4. Browsers and assistive technology
The site is designed to work with current versions of major browsers (Chrome, Safari, Firefox, Edge) and common screen readers on desktop and mobile.
5. Tell us about a problem
If something on the site is hard to use, or you need information in another format (for example an accessible version of a PDF), email warren.arbuckle@focus-cubed.com. Tell us the page address, what went wrong, and the assistive technology you use if relevant. We aim to reply within five business days and to fix the problem or offer an alternative.
6. Language
This statement is written in English and translated into Japanese for convenience. If the two versions differ, the English version prevails.
